The implementation of Drive into Mediaworks Radio has made significant improvements to the efficiency of the financial and operational functions on a daily basis.
The key benefit is that the Company now works only with one database instead of 24 markets individual databases. This has allowed consolidated reporting for the Finance Team along with streamlined month-end processes and scheduling efficiencies for our markets. Further to this, we have the ability to consolidate our Debtors Systems across the multi markets thus reducing invoicing and reconciliations. One database allows the company to standardise all aspects of the selling process, allowing for certainty that the data used in performance and financial reporting is comparing ‘like with ‘like’.
Drive has enabled various team members to expand their skillsets and provide new analysis at a market level. Our Account Managers have become more involved in the processing of their Client’s advertising schedules thus allowing them to “own” their business. Our Office Manager’s now have capacity to analyse area’s specific to improve their market. Lastly with “Live” Database and standardisation, our Finance Team is able perform timely analysis in real –time to provide our market’s with analysis allowing changes to be made in the month

From a Creative standpoint, implementing Drive has had a number of positive effects on the way we work.
It’s given us the ability to centralise writing, allowing writers to more easily access each market’s contracts and briefs. It also means writers can work from any market.
We’re now able to instruct audio into other markets too. This means each writer can be more responsible for their own work, wherever it’s playing.
Another positive is that every piece of information is linked to the contract – brief, script, audio, instruction etc. This makes it easier to know exactly what played when. It’s all a double click away.
Overall Drive is significantly quicker than our previous system.
